Overview

The STeREO Project was established by Capricorn Space in 2023 with the goal of providing final year university students the opportunity to apply their new found engineering skills to capturing and generating images off Earth Observation satellites transitioning over the Australian continent.

By granting access to Capricorn Space’s antennas and associated equipment, students have the opportunity to capture and process Earth Observation data off highly capable (and very expensive) Earth Observation satellites, where the end product is a meaningful and rewarding image of the western half of Australia captured from space just minutes earlier.
